Thanks to the wonders of tape delay, I just watched the 4x200 free relay for the first time. All I have to say is wow, what a race! It was only one tenth of a second or so that separated us and the Aussies. Congrats to the Aussies on a great race. Even though I knew the result beforehand, I was still scared that Thorpe was going to win it for you guys.

At this moment, in the pool at Athens, Michael Phelps collected two more gold medals and Ian Thorpe barely got into the finals for the 100 Freestyle. So that got me to thinking about the debate over who is better. Given the results, I believe that this is still up in the air. Well the Olympics are underway now, and they should be very interesting. Athens has caught a lot of flack for not being ready even though they had seven years. It appears that the Greeks are also having drug problems now that their two top athletes have been implicated. Here is are the three stories I am most interested in as far as actual play go. 1. With many of the congressional districts in this country gerrymandered to be safe for the incumbant, there are only a handful of seats that are really up for grabs.
